It's not the nervous feeling you get prior to getting on a rollercoaster, or speaking publicly in-front of a room full of professionals, those butterfly feelings of nervousness are normal. For many, anxiety is an overwhelming sense of dread that can consume the individual and put their life on hold.
This can lead to social isolation by preventing social situations, causing a loss of sense of self, lack of self worth, loneliness, fear, physical symptoms such as sweating, palpitations, loss of appetite, poor sleep, and so much more.
